When Is Your Country Fair?

When is your country fair? Ours, that is the one in Searcy, is coming up in Sept. I am hoping to enter some of my knitting. I am hoping to enter a few dishcloths of different styles, a scarf or two, & maybe my one hour hat. Maybe, I might just go slow & knit a dishcloth or two & a scarf. I just want to be able to enter the fair this year with a knitting project or two, since I have not been a knitter that long. I am proud of my ability to knit-not in a 'I better than you way' but just proud I was able to learn what I have so far. Is that okay? I think it is......
So when is your County or State Fair? What of your knitting or other crafts are you going to show at them? I know that there are many knitters out there, so share what you are going to show or have shown at your County or State Fair. There are so many talented knitters that I have seen in my Yahoo Groups I am in, I can see many of them showing their knitting accomplishments to others-I am excited to hear from everyone. Good luck as you enter, God Bless you for sharing your talents with others. Have a happy weekend!!!!!

I have been gone too long......

It has been too long since I have been here, talking about my knitting & such, but I have been sick, along with family members having struggles-to the point of keeping me so busy I can hardly do anything. I have finished three, no four exchanges-some late but are going out on Monday. That relieves some pressure off my shoulders & mind.
I wanting to knit for myself-doing some catch up on-just to knit for myself some things I want to knit, getting ready for Christmas gifts and all. I am going to give some to family and friends-surprises, as I found some really neat patterns to knit. I love the Christmas Season-the giving of gifts, that's what live is all about. Give to those, expecting nothing in return--Christmas is so much fun! How many of you love Christmas-knitting up surprises for family-enjoying the faces of surprise--the sounds of ooooh-aaaaaaah! Not only do I love the giving-I love the season itself-the decorations--decorating the tree--the house--seeing the kids {even the adults}--as the watch the lights turn on in their homes-at the parade-in the parks-even on the carriage ride. How can you not like Christmas?
I hope you enjoy knitting & making your own gifts-creations. Life is to short not to enjoy what you like to do as a hobby-or your work so you can stay home with your family. Keep it up and enjoy!!!!

Getting ready!!

Well, I am getting ready to make more stitch markers tomorrow. I am waiting for beads from a company I ordered via the Internet. I can't wait to get them! I love making the stitch markers as they are a way to use your creative juices. I bought some new needles to use-copper in color that I have never used before, but they will add such a wonderful touch to the markers. I am so excited to see how they look. I guess I will know tomorrow. I am finishing two new dishcloths in the next day or two, as well as sending out the round robin box so I can continue with it. That is about all for the night but I will get back to you tomorrow. Have a great week knitting, working with your yarn, and using your creative juices in your creations. Don't forget to share them with us all. Make sure to check out The Simple Woman blogspot. Gods' Blessing

I have a few to more to go.......

I have almost caught up on my exchanges except for a few. Hopefully, I can & will become busy as a bee-getting all caught up on my exchanges, even those not due yet. I am waiting for a few glass beads to finish one, finally got the addresses I misplaced to mail out some exchanges. I love making and exchanging stitch markers with others, as I like to surprise them & be sur- prised by their gifts. They always come when I least expect them, brightening my days when I need it most. I have sites that can help you learn how to make stitch markers yourselves, can show you pictures of ones I have received or have made. Leave me a comment with your e-mail or e-mail me at: jilwoodruffpulley@hotmail.com if you want me to send you the information. Have a great time knitting like busy bees.

I love the Ozarks..........

I love the Ozarks, especially in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. The picture above was taken in Taney County Missouri. Other than the Ozarks, I fell in love with the Smokey Mountains. They were breath taking, more so when shown in the modern day movie of "The Last of the Mohicans". My d/hubby and I are looking for places that we could retire to somewhere in the Ozarks or the Smokey Mountains.
I want to retire around Branson, MO if possible, mainly b/cause of the entertainment it has all the music-mountain, bluegrass, as well as, all the musical shows in Branson, that one would ever want besides being up in the Ozarks. When we visit Branson I never want to leave-it is one place that I can stay & feel a peace I find no where else. It is a place that is close to God-an area that we can be encourage in addition to encouraging others.
The land and Ozarks are beautiful, beyond words, & at Christmas time, it turns into a fantasy land beyond all imagination! There is so much peace in these mountains, so much time to just sit back and think-to pray-to listen for God's words to touch your heart, soul & mind.
I dream of sitting on my front porch, sitting in one rocking chair while my husband is in the other, playing his guitar and singing to me as tho' time had not passed and we were young, my listening to him sing, playing to his hearts' content-& man can he play and sing still today. I love my husband dearly-even after 30 years and age is starting to take over and show. He still thrills me to my soul, loves me as we have never loved before-as our love grows as each day passes. May each of you be as blessed as I have with the most wonderful husband God could create.

Greetings and Welcome

Ahh! Welcome to my new blog spot. I am going to still follow my general way of blogging as I did on my other blog spot. I want to use this blog spot as a way to encour-age my visitors with their knitting, their struggles, with life with good ol' fashion Southern Hospitality. Life is too short not to help others who need help, encourage those needing encouragement, bringing joy and hope to all who are searching for it. I also want to help knitters who are just learning by offering help sites, sites with other blogger's that can help them, including my groups on Yahoo. I hope you will come to visit often, correct me if I am wrong, get encouragement when you need it, or just to have fun when you want it. May this site be a blessing to you all, as Jesus my Lord is a blessing to me daily. You all are a blessing to me, those who visit w/out leaving a comment and to those who do. You will never know how much I am encouraged and up- lifted by all of you. Come and visit often as I will be adding daily to my site. If you have any questions at all, please e-mail me at jilwoodruffpulley@hotmail.com or by leaving a comment with your e-mail address to respond to you. I will help you as best as I can whether it deals with knitting or questions about my disability, etc.
